I recently saw this quilt in magazine and thought I would make for my husband Gary. He does yoga twice a week. I used fabric from my stash. I bought a yard of the blue and brown marbley one and it had the blue of his gym bag and yoga equipment. Did the quilting on my Babylock Chorus. I broke three needles but got it done. Quilting I would loosen the pressure foot and then it would get under the needle.
I wanted to try a “Chenille It” and saw this kit. You sew the chenille around hearts and then wash to make the chenillle fray. It said to stitch the heart appliqués down but I thought the chenille would enclose them. After washing the hearts were coming up so I did sew around them. It definitely looks raggy.
I made a couple of quilts and some other quilted items for Christmas.
For the Eatonville Cooperaticve Nursery School I made this quilt for their fundraiser. Lyra and Caleb are the grandchildren of a dear friend and this is their year to attend. The fundraiser did very well and very happy to say Tante Lucy bid the highest on the quilt.
