MONDO BAG

 When i was on my Hawaiian cruise a few years ago I purchased this kit to make a shopping bag for a trip. When I read the instructions I felt it would be too big and cumbersome to take on trip. I have another trip I’m taking with same wardrobe colors (cream and tan) and decided it would be great. We’re visiting lots of quilt shops and I will need a shopping bag. Plus all the other quilters and store owners will ask me if i made myself and I can answer yes.

The pattern called for soft and stable interfacing which would make the bag a lot stiffer and cumbersome. So I used a lightweight interfacing and I can fold down to almost nothing.

Sunflower Wall Quilt

 This was a pattern I purchase a few years ago and decided to finally make it. I had three small wall hanging patterns of sunflowers for laundry room and got busy with other projects and never made. Put a cute little bee pin on it.

Soirée

 Tilda’s World new fabricline, Songbird, are the fabrics used. The pattern, Soirée, was free from Tilda. I added black crystals for the eyes and pearls for earrings. I love the way tildas quilts are quilted and usually follow that suggestion. 

Green Fairy

 Using Walkabout pattern I combined some green fairy print with cream and brown print. I bought a block from Etsy of some mice in a library for the center block. It’s quilted with a left pantograph pattern.

Christmas Kitty’s

 Loved this panel and companion fabrics. Picked one of my panel patterns. Backing is green minki and pantograph design for quilting was swirls and holly.

Eatonville Cooperative Nursery School Fundraiser 2025

 For the third year I made a quilt for the nursery school fundraiser. The theme this year was “Gold” for their 50th anniversary. The pencil quilt sold for $700, the Laura Heinke Lady went for $175, Birds was over $150, and fall quilt was also $150. The dessert dash raised $3000. The layered Carrot Cake was made by cousin, Sarah.

Christmas 2025

 Made a few quilts for Christmas. New black and white microwave bowl cozies. New scalloped placemats and a cute elves wallhanging. Also making or trying to make 40 mini baskets.

Also made some plate and bowl cozies for the microwave.
